Boston based couple, Rachel + Sean wanted a destination beach wedding and were elated when Sean’s uncle offered his beautiful seaside home in Darien, CT for the occasion. Rachel described their wedding as preppy, nautical and Nantucket inspired.
We had a blast capturing all of the fun events and details of the day including hand made signs that were placed throughout the property. Below are just some of our favorite images that we couldn’t wait to share.
The couple created “RRS Designs” for their wedding with DIY homemade letter press boxes and save-the-dates along with sailboat ornaments that went out to all their guests.
Rachel and Sean met and fell in love when they were both living in Washington D.C. So, when Sean found the ties with the capital building he knew they were the perfect fit for the wedding day.
After the first look, we took advantage of the beautiful property, taking photos on the beach, rolling hills and gardens with the bride, groom and their wedding party.
Rachel and Sean’s lemonade stand sign was one of our favorites and was accented by a buoy the couple had found for an extra pop of color.
The cocktail style reception took place on the patios of the home overlooking the infinity pool, lush floral gardens and ocean.
The couple loves maps and incorporated a map of Darien in both their save-the-dates and their sign in board.
