Haymakers for Hope Event at the House of Blues | Boston Event Photography

May 30, 2012

Imagine this — an event at the House of Blues Boston, over 1,500 guests in attendance, and the main event: a series of 16 matches pairing the top businessmen, techies, and CEOs of Boston in boxing competitions all raising money for cancer research!

This is what Haymakers for Hope is all about, and Jill Person Photography absolutely loved photographing their extremely successful fundraising event. The evening consisted of 16 separate fights, involving 32 fighters, all of whom were complete boxing novices just a few short months ago. The volunteer fighters come from all walks of life, from sales representatives and restaurant owners to teachers and traders, and they all come with one goal in mind — to help raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund. They weren’t kidding when they said they were fighting cancer!

The event, designed by Amy Kimball Events, was a big success. Great fun, great fights, and everyone got to help out a very deserving cause. Congratulations to Haymakers Co-Founders Andrew  Myerson and Julie Anne Kelly and all of the volunteers who worked hard on this event! Find out more at www.HaymakersForHope.org
