Laura and Derek wanted a traditionally classic wedding day and chose the InterContinental Hotel Boston as their venue for their springtime wedding. Boston based designer Daniel Faucher created the custom one of a kind wedding dress that paired perfectly with the veil and off white bouquet.
One of the most important parts of the day for the Boston based couple was to incorporate their Irish heritage into the wedding day. As guests arrived for their traditional Catholic wedding ceremony at St. Brendan’s Church, they were greeted with a traditional Irish bagpiper.
For cocktail hour and reception, guests celebrated back at the InterContinental on the Boston Harbor. As a surprise to the guests, Irish stepdancers performed following dinner. To make the evening more special, Laura’s mom and a group of family and friends surprised the bride and groom with one final Irish dance before the dance floor was opened for the evening. Tradition, a Boston based Irish wedding band kept everyone dancing for the rest of the evening.
