Boston Public Library Wedding with Marc Hall Design

December 4, 2017

It was destination Boston for New York couple Ashley and Ben for their Boston Public Library wedding. Everything about their day from getting ready and the first look at the picturesque Fairmont Copley Plaza to their ceremony and reception at the library was picture perfect and we are so happy to have been chosen to capture the day for this great couple.

From Ashley – “We have been together for 7 years, so we always knew that we wanted a small and intimate wedding, surrounded by only our closest family and friends who know us and love us inside and out and have watched us grow together a couple. Our wedding was just that- you could feel the love, warmth and genuine happiness and joy permeate through the entire Boston Public Library. It was something that really stood out. That was one of the most special aspects. It was also really incredible to have everyone in Boston together – most of our guests, ourselves included, live in New York City- but bringing everyone together in Boston, where we first met, (and where bride’s parents met!) in the most beautiful, elegant, classic setting of the Boston Public Library, was so meaningful and a memory that will forever fill our hearts.”

Ashley and Ben chose Marc Hall Design to create their dream vision that complimented the stunning spaces of the library perfectly. For their traditional Jewish ceremony in the Courtyard Restaurant, the chuppah was created out of multiple shades of blush and pink as to not hint too much for the reception centerpieces. Designer David DiCicco says “Every bride says they want something different, but Ashley wanted to make sure that every centerpiece had a different shape and was filled with color. The traditional white wedding was swapped with the fall vision for gorgeous jewel tones, shades of sapphire, ruby, amethyst, garnet and topaz.”

A big highlight for the newlyweds was their first dance. “We combined the song we recorded from our Save the Date video with other favorite Justin Timberlake (our favorite artist) songs mashed up and worked on the choreographed dance for months to surprise our guests! Everyone was so excited and it really got the energy going for the whole night! It was so fun practicing together for so many months to finally perform live for all of our friends and family!”

A big thank you to Bryanne, Erica and their team at The Catered Affair at the Boston Public Library and congratulations Ashley and Ben!
