When we asked Ashley and Chris to describe the vision for their wedding day, it was clear they were working with their venue in mind. “Classic and subtle”, the bride said, “all the design features are to compliment the Copley’s elegance”. She was of course referring to the Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston, where she and Chris celebrated their beautiful and elegant summer wedding.
Ashley and Chris chose a soft color palette of pink and white, which perfectly translated to each element of the day’s events. Ashley and her bridesmaids started the day in the Catie Copley Suite (named for the Fairmont Copley’s original K-9 ambassador), the bridesmaids wore soft pink dresses and all of the ladies carried pink and white rose bouquets. Once everyone was ready, we headed to Saint Cecilia Parish just a few blocks away. Ashley and Chris decided not to have a first look before the ceremony, saving that special moment for when Ashley made her way down the aisle. Following the ceremony, we stayed at Saint Cecilia’s for some formal photos with the bride and groom before heading back to Copley Square.
We were joined by the rest of the wedding party for some fun photos around Copley Square — on the lawn, in front of the Boston Public Library, and in front of the Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston. Ashley and Chris even got a visit from Carly Copley — Catie’s successor as the Fairmont K-9 ambassador. Cocktail hour was held in the Fairmont Copley Plaza’s Venetian Room, then it was into the beautiful Oval Room for dinner and dancing. The Fairmont’s elegant white and gold color scheme was perfectly complimented by the pink and white details of the wedding day — including the soft summer floral arrangements, classic white linens, and white and gold details throughout.
We could not have asked for a sweeter couple than Ashley and Chris. We had so much fun with them and all of their friends and family, and loved being a part of this beautiful Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston wedding celebration.
