Margot and Kevin’s Boston Public Library wedding was the perfect reflection of what they wanted their wedding day to be. They wanted fun and easy-going vibes, and they wanted to really enjoy the day with friends and family. Above all, they wanted a gorgeous and memorable venue to celebrate in!
We asked Margot why they chose the Boston Public Library for their wedding, and here’s what she had to say:
We fell in love with the Boston Public Library as a venue because it is so beautiful and romantic. Given the space is so beautiful as-is, we leaned toward simple clean whites and greens to accompany the green details throughout the Courtyard and Bates Hall. The wedding was black tie and we wanted to keep things elegant!
The bride and groom took full advantage of the gorgeous spaces both inside and outside the Boston Public Library. After getting ready at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, we headed outside to Copley Square for the first look and formal photographs with the wedding party. Family joined in for photos inside the library prior to the ceremony. The ceremony was held outside in the always gorgeous courtyard as the sun set.
Guests enjoyed the warm summer evening for cocktails in the courtyard and the adjoining Cafe, before moving inside to Bates Hall for dinner. The final stop of the night was the Abbey Room for cake cutting and dancing surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones. A joyful and memorable night in a truly unforgettable venue — Margot and Kevin’s Boston Public Library wedding was everything they dreamed it would be!
