These Boston natives came all the way back from their home in California to celebrate their wedding in true Fall New England style. Julia and Matt currently live in Los Angeles, but gathered their friends and family from across the globe right here in Boston to make it official. The couple told us, “Fall is our favorite time in Boston and the Back Bay is our favorite neighborhood. Even though we live in California, we wanted to honor both of our homes during our favorite time of year.”
While the wedding took place at the Harvard Club of Boston, we started with the couple the night before at the ReelHouse in East Boston for their rehearsal dinner. This gave us an opportunity for some fall foliage shots out on the Boston waterfront before the big day. At the Harvard Club Boston the next day, Julia and Matt leaned heavily on the venue’s natural beauty. “We wanted do respect the location and not change it too much. The simple decor and lighting emphasize the beauty of Harvard Hall without competing. We were inspired by historic Boston in all of it’s colonial beauty. Traditional colors, classic florals and simple elegance are what we wanted to convey.”
Julia and Matt said their “I do”s in a combined Jewish and Christian wedding, with both a Rabbi and a Deacon performing the ceremony. The evening celebration brought in light linens, touches of elegant gold and lush green and white flowers. The Harvard Club Boston was the perfect setting for this fall celebration.
