Seeing the beautiful weddings I’ve had the opportunity to capture in print is always exciting! I am thrilled to have Jessica and Jason’s Belle Mer wedding featured in the current issue of Modern Luxury Weddings Boston. This gorgeous Newport, Rhode Island wedding was planned and designed by the talented Jodi Raphael and her team at Jodi Raphael Events.
“The Details: When looking into wedding venues, Jessica knew that the oceanic oasis of Belle Mer would be an ideal setting. “I grew up spending weekends in Newport and always loved being by the water,” says the bride, who wore an ethereal Mira Zwillinger gown and heirloom diamond earrings passed down from her grandmother. Then, as sailboats twinkled on the watery horizon, the pair recited their vows surrounded by lush greenery and warm neutral decor.
The Party: The festivities flower onto the dance floor, which was transformed into an Edenic vision of verdant florals: bouquets of garden roses, delphinium, dahlias and southern smilax. After savoring filet mignon, Scottish salmon and stuffed peppers, the crowd danced the night away. “The band was absolutely incredible and had everyone dancing and singing their hearts out all night,” says Jessica. – Bernie Rodgers ”
