What a lovely way to end the summer and begin fall by heading to Rhode Island to capture Colleen and Michael’s elegant oceanside Newport wedding. We love when our worlds collide with previous clients and fellow wedding industry colleagues. In this case, we had the pleasure of capturing Colleen’s sisters wedding back in 2013 and Michael’s father is the owner and founder of Russel Morin Fine Catering who, of course, catered the wedding!
Before heading off to Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, we started the day at the nearby Hyatt Regency on Goat Island. The women, dressed in navy, put their finishing touches on while the bride dressed in her Liancarlo gown and Jimmy Choo shoes. While the ladies were busy, the groom and groomsmen gathered nearby dressing in traditional black tuxes.
Greeting the guests at the chapel was a traditional bagpiper adding to the the celebratory feel just before they exchanged “I do’s”. After capturing some great formal photographs, we made our way to the reception tent at the Eisenhower House at Fort Adams State Park.
Located oceanside, the tent was simply spectacular. It had touches of blue and silvers accented with elegant chandeliers and billowing white fabric draped throughout. Romantic floral arrangements with natural elements and glowing tables anchored the guest tables. No detail overlooked, the food was absolutely amazing. As the evening progressed, the dance floor opened and the couple and their loved ones celebrated in to the night!
Congratulations again Colleen and Michael and thank you for letting Jill Person be a part of your day!
